10 As soon as it was night, the believers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea. On arriving there, they went to the Jewish synagogue. 11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. 12 As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.
Acts 17:10-12 | NIV

Then they believed and were obedient to the scriptures.

23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
John 4:23-24 | NIV
The supernatural being conceived as the perfect and omnipotent and omniscient originator and ruler of the universe.
How do you distinguish between : True vs. False Worshippers?
There is a qualification:
1. In spirit – The part of a human associated with the mind, will, and feelings. A pervasive or essential attitude, quality, or principle. An attitude marked by enthusiasm, energy, or courage. Temperament or disposition. From the heart, the inner self. The vital principle or animating force within living things. So we need to worship God in the right spirit. It’s like hanging out with someone. Is it a pleasant or bad experience? We also need God’s Spirit to worship through him. What is your attitude about seeking God? Is it positive? How serious are you about it? What priority does it fill in your life?
2. In truth – The quality of being true, genuine, actual, or factual. Something that is true as opposed to false. The Bible is truth. How well do you know the truth? Do you know God’s saving plan, he’s will for your life?
Amazing that God seeks us out. He wants a relationship with us.
Do you worship God in spirit and truth?

“So Paul, standing in the center of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I observe [with every turn I make throughout the city] that you are very religious and devout in all respects. Now as I was going along and carefully looking at your objects of worship, I came to an altar with this inscription: ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you already worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. The God who created the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, because it is He who gives to all [people] life and breath and all things. And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands and territories. This was so that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grasp for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and exist [that is, in Him we actually have our being], as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’” – ACTS 17:22-28 AMP
On an altar in Athens: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD
How well do you know God?
An Atheist believes that Nothing is a God, did you know that?
The belief that there was nothing and nothing happened to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no reason, creating everything and then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason what so ever into self-replicating bits which then turned into dinosaurs. It makes perfect sense.
Do you believe that your life is an accident or on purpose?
Why did God determine the times that you should live (year) and their lands (where you should live – the country where you reside say South Africa)?
* So you will seek Him?
* Will you perhaps reach out for Him and find Him?
Wow so God planned the perfect time and place for you to live so you can find him.
It is not an accident that you are reading this!
God orchestrated this that you might find Him.

Don’t we all love that song, “Don’t worry, be happy” by Bobby McFerrin.
It just don’t have a nice vibe, but the words is so applicable to our daily lives and also has a spiritual significance.
- To feel uneasy or concerned about something; be troubled.
- To cause to feel anxious, distressed, or troubled.
So what do we normally worry about?
- Our jobs.
- Our kids.
- Not being happy.
- Not having peace.
- Not having a purpose in life.
- Not leaving a legacy.
Let’s look at what the most famous person in the world said. Healed people, created food, walked on water, brought people back from the dead, his words was recorded are written down although He wrote none, compassion, dying, rising from the dead, called God by men, forgiving sins & called the Messiah (Saviour). Let’s hear what He has to say.
““Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow [seed] nor reap [the harvest] nor gather [the crops] into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by worrying can add one hour to [the length of] his life? And why are you worried about clothes? See how the lilies and wildflowers of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin [wool to make clothing], yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory and splendor dressed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive and green today and tomorrow is [cut and] thrown [as fuel] into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Therefore do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ For the [pagan] Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; [but do not worry,] for your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right–the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – MATTHEW 6:25-34 AMP
What do you learn from this? …
Have you ever see a bird worrying? We think it frivolous. I think that is what we are like when we worry.
Have you ever thought that you are a infidel by worrying?
Do you believe that God cares about you. Can’t a God who is all powerful take take of you because He loves you. They say worry is practical athiesm.
So if we should not worry, what should we do?
Seek first His kingdom not yours. That might be the reason we worry. That is not all, we should seek His righteousness, meaning being right with God.
So what is the solution for us not to worry; put our trust in God and make His family our first priority.

What is the purpose of life?
Who is God?
What is love?
How will I find happiness, peace and fulfillment?
Questions that we all ponder about in life, don’t we!
Let’s look at a definition, shall we?
- The act of searching for something; “a quest for ???”
- Earnest and conscientious activity intended to do or accomplish something.
What is your quest in life? What are you looking to achieve in life?
Lets look at a verse or two in the most famoust book of all times, 6 billion copies sold, over 40 authors, 168 000 is distribted per day. Have you read the block buster?
“How blessed and favored by God are those whose way is blameless [those with personal integrity, the upright, the guileless], Who walk in the law [and who are guided by the precepts and revealed will] of the LORD. Blessed and favored by God are those who keep His testimonies, And who [consistently] seek Him and long for Him with all their heart.” – PSALM 119:1-2 AMP
Blessed mean superlative happy. Now substitute blessed with “superlatively happy” is “your name”. Has a good ring to it doesn’t it!!!!
Ok now that we have established where happiness comes from. Let’s establish the conditions for it.
Mmmm. A blameless life!!! Wowww who of us can claim that one?
Ok second who walks in His laws / testimonies. Ok so obviously there is my law and then there is God’s. Does yours make you happy??? Why are you reading this anyway?
And the last but not the least; seek Him with all, your heart. What do you really love? Soccer, nature, holidays, …? I guess it is like falling in love with that first love of your life. You just can’t get enough of that person!!! Does it say half ur heart? No all of it!!! No 95% or high averagers allowed, only 100% candidates. Real commitment hey? Are you up for it?
Remember happiness is the byproduct not the end goal. 😉 😉
So, is that the way you study your Bible? With all your heart? Some say it is God’s love letter to us. Sounds a bit cheesy? There may be some truth in that! Be one of the famous 6 billion who has a bible and has read it!

What is the fruit of the kingdom ?
It can be great relationships at depicted in Acts 2:42 where they were devoted to the apostles teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and to prayer.
It can be great personal attributes as listed in Gal 5:21-22, love, joy, peace, patience.
But I really think it meant combining the last two in the fruit of people knowing Christ and becoming disciple’s that are the real fruit.
Jesus said in His own words that He came to seek and save what was lost Luk 19:10.
Paul wrote that God the Father wants all people to come to the knowledge of the truth and to be saved 1 Tim 2:4.
So to sum up what Solomon said, the wisest guy that ever lived on the earth except Jesus who is God in the flesh, Prov 11:30 talks about the fruit of the righteous is a tree of light and he who wins souls is wise.
Am I bearing the fruit of the Kingdom? Am I about my Fathers business, like Jesus said.
What would Jesus say about my farm and my fellow workers? Do we produce the crop that Jesus expects to get?
